BRAND DESIGN - ART DIRECTION - BRAND STRATEGY - PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Gorilla Grips launched in 2019 in the fitness market. Targeted towards athletic men, the brand wanted to market an aggressive, muscle-fueled product to those looking to increase grip strength. With competitors focusing on lukewarm exercisers going through the motions or serious grip athletes interested in certified psi grippers, we wanted to land right in the middle and grab the athletes who train daily and just want better performance.

Directive:
Take an easily reproduceable product and sell it based on a great brand. We want athletes to come to us, to be excited to receive their orders, to share their gains, and be impressed with our products. We want to be cool and powerful without being cheesy.

Brand Development
I created an inspiration page on Pinterest. I pinned photography, packaging and images that made me feel hit the vision for the brand. When I compiled them, I noticed the majority of images were black and white with yellow green color scheme. I knew the direction for the brand right away.

Product Development / Packaging
From getting the logo placement exactly placed on the grips themselves to packaging all products for market, this project was fun to do.

Art directed an illustrator to create us some intense gorilla characters.














Web Design
Exploration of a clean, product focused site, with sleek animations and layouts.






After feedback and some thought, a custom Shopify site was decided on. This gave Gorilla Grips ease of ecommerce use and easy implementation of customer reviews which the brand thrives on.
